Heated undersuit

The heated Kwark undersuit is based on the proven NAVY EXTREME and is already very warm even without heating elements. Even if the heating is switched off after a water intrusion, this undersuit still offers a high level of comfort. Made of elastic knitted fabrics, this model is probably the most comfortable cold protection in its class.

The heating of this undersuit includes ten heating panels with a total output of up to 80 watts. Because this heater uses less power than comparable products, you can dive longer or reduce the battery size when the heater is on. The heated Kwark undersuit achieves these good performances due to the very good thermal insulation of the Navy Extreme and excellent moisture wicking to the outside. Even when using an underwater scooter in cold water at 4 degrees Celsius, it offers a high level of comfort. We recommend using a battery with power control to avoid overheating when decompressing in warmer water.

The heating elements are located close to the inner surface, so the majority of the heat generated heats the diver’s body rather than the surrounding water. The right and left sides of the heater undersuit are divided into two independent heating systems. These are connected to the battery via the included Y-cable.

If one heating element fails, the others continue to work. A damaged heating element can be replaced very easily.

The heated undersuit is protected against short circuits by fuses. These fuses are located in the distribution boxes on the left and right sides, which are housed in pockets in the lower chest area. These distribution boxes also have additional connections for heated socks and heater undergarments, which are closed with protective caps. If you buy your undersuit together with heated gloves and/or heated socks, you should choose the undersuit variant with integrated cables for gloves and/or socks. You can remove these cables yourself at any time when they are not needed. All connectors comply with protection class IP67.

The undersuit also has a pass-through for a P-valve and can be washed at 30 degrees with a mild, soap-based detergent after removing the heating elements. Do not spin the undersuit and hang it up to dry (do not tumble dry).

Removing and inserting the heating elements is very simple. First, remove the plug lock from the distribution boxes by loosening 4 screws each. Now you can unplug the connectors from the distribution boxes, unthread the cables, and pull the heating elements out of their pockets. Then remove the distribution boxes from the heating undergarment as well.

If you want to use the heated undersuit without heating elements in warmer waters, you can also remove the heating elements and store them separately. In this way, the service life of the heating elements is extended. Roll up the heated undersuit for transport, starting at the legs. In this way, the heating elements are not kinked. The rolled-up undersuit can then be transported and stored in the included transport bag.
